Tariq takes shots at single parents but I dont see why. They're the reason why he's in business. like 90% of his fan base don't have father, so how I see it he is giving them direction that a father should given them. This mainly goes for women, cause some of the shyt he says are the same shyt my father said to me when I turned 19. All of that intellectual bullshyt he be trying to kick/sell is mediocre at it's best. Hidden of color 1 and 2 was good and im happy he dropped them, but I wish people wouldnt just stop at his dvds when it comes to knowledge of self. Hella books out there for us to read and learn more.

I'm not even sure the purpose of this post. You're upset that he released 2 very successful documentaries that you said was great, but people should stop listening to what he says

Nah breh, only thing I said is people shouldnt just stop at those movies about our history. We should go beyond hidden colors. Im happy he got it out, but whenever I speak with folks about culutre and history they bring that up and Im just like, thats all you know? Its so much more

Knowledge self is knowledge of a culture and history. Yes based on how many people bring it up to me at our meetings I assume so.

Not quite sure what you mean? A lot of it is quite good. Not the greatest but it's his opinion and his main talking points are pretty damn good.

So instead of giving ultimate props to Tariq for being the medium where cats otherwise wouldn't know shyt about their history, you say he's kicking a bunch of intellectual bullshyt?

Just give Tariq his props for doing what others have been incapable of doing. The fact that Hidden Colors is the reason why cats actually lknow even just a little bit about their African history isn't a negative reflection on Tariq in any way.

But you just said a lot of the cats you know are saying their only information they've learned about black history came from his films. Shouldn't the fact that he'd done with tons of others have failed to do be reason enough to give him his props, whether it's a hustle or not?
