Tatum is 100% underappreciated

All dude cares about is hooping and his son

He’s this generation’s Tim duncan

Does everything well, plays point guard but can defend centers, shooting is better, and he’s taken another leap as a playmaker this year
No tf he’s not. You mfs are getting delusional now.

Forced personality

Stupid haircut in the front area

Forced, “look at me and my son together all of the time” ish.

Posture of a nerd who pretends he isn’t one.

Baby Boy syndrome

Just a super nice guy:yeshrug: people rather use their energy to hate Ja than to like Tatum.
What does he force though? I don't see him trying to force anything.

On KRS One's nose, eating sunflower seeds.

His son allegedly has his own locker. He’s with him everywhere he goes during team time. During pre-game shoot around, half time shoot around, in post game interviews on the floor, walking to the locker room with him right after, players showering and getting dressed around his son which is kind of inappropriate. I see it as forced, not in a bad way, but an over the line way. You may see different.

Pippen finished 3rd and 5th in MVP voting after MJ retired 94-95 :yeshrug:
Bro I'm from Chicago and was watching these games in REAL time. Pip kept the Bulls competitive after MJ retired because he was the one who ran the offense. Only that first season tho (when he finished behind Hakeem and David Robinson). The second year, they were on the bubble of missing the playoffs until Jordan came back. He finished 7th in MVP voting that year, not 5th.

3rd place was the highest he ever finished in MVP voting, so how does that make him an MVP player?

It’s not really hate.. Tatum wants to be the known as the face of the league, best player in the league. He’s just not that. Jokic is the best player, and Steph and Bron are still the faces. He’s not even top 3 to be honest. Who here that’s not a Celtics fan is taking Tatum over 40 year old Bron for one playoff run?

All I’m saying is it’s not hate. He has the be the guy to be respected like the guy.

The NBA tried to push Tatum….but he’s too bland of a player and personality to be the face of the league.

However, I like the fact that he is clean cut, isn’t doesn’t pretend to be someone he’s not and stays away from the fukkery that comes with the NBA lifestyle and being a superstar.

I wouldn’t even consider him to be corny….he’s just a regular dude. If Grant Hill came up in this current era, he would be looked as corny too because he’s safe and is married to a R&B singer just like Tatum.

Great player but zero charisma. Most boring superstar in NBA. Jaylen Brown is way more likable. His whole championship celebration seemed so forced/phoney

All this is facts.

Dude has the accolades. But he's boring in a league where personality and star power have a lot to do with what the player does away from the floor. Him being so dry kinda makes him unlikeable. Not the kinda guy people would "hate", but probably just not pay much attention to. Then when he tries to act like he has personality, he comes off wild corny and fake.

He’s 26 and will be going to potentially his 6th conference finals and 3rd finals
1. Duncan was already being debated as being the best player in the league at 22. Tatum’s just recently made it to the top 5 at 26.

2. Nobody questioned Duncan as the best player on the Spurs. While you have a good amount of people that think Jaylen is the real #1.

3. Duncan played in the small market of San Antonio and didn’t care if he got attention or not. Tatum plays in Boston and based on this quote obviously does.

4. Tatum’s a jack of all trades master of none. He’s probably on the top 3 of versatile players in the league. But there’s nothing in his skill set that stands out. Duncan had the post on offense and rim protection on defense as skills that were easily recognizable.

5. Duncan already won an MVP before he reached Tatum’s age. While Tatum hasn’t really been close

So Tatum’s a great player but he’s not this generations Tim Duncan. Some of yall are doing too much

MVP caliber imo means in the conversation, at least top 5. He did that.
