My federal just got accepted within an hour of filing.

VA state taxes are delayed though. I can't even file until next month.

getting 4300 back giving 2000 to daughters mom for letting me claim her im paying 1500 to pay off my 401k loan


then going back to reborrow from my 401k 9000 pay off all my debt

my personal opinion is when you honestly feel like you making some real bread. on top of that, when you're not just paying bills and living.

so if you have some investments, some property, i dont have kids, but i would say kids are a factor.

and like @morris said above, getting that audit is NO FUN.

like i said, i used to just do them myself when all i needed was a 1040 EZ

also, i do sales, so theres various deductions to be had, and knowing what those are and how those work is reason enough to pay an accountant

Eh an audit isn't too bad unless you have a really complicated tax situation with multiple sources of income, expenses, kids, businesses etc.

Most don't need an accountant.

Last year I somehow owed the state 300 and I was only getting 900 from feds back. Single no dependents and no house = fukked at tax time

No one here taxes are complicated to the point they can't do them for free online

Most people have basic taxes and don't need an accountant so the free tax services are fine.

Our glorious leader Donald Trump can tell you about the benefits of having some type of expert tax preparer. They can find you money that you didn't no you could get no matter how much you made.

If you paying like 400+ a check to taxes and aren't getting back 3-4k at tax time you doing it wrong..
