It felt like Roc spent all his time making a crazy first and just straight up forgot there were two more rounds until the night before. I understand how Roc can be given that first. He was hype, he was funny, he had some legit good bars. The darkside bar, the light bill bar, the rawhide bar (maybe) the random shots at the end. I found it to be a close round (Brizz fought back for real, despite the fan reactions), but totally understand giving it to Roc.
The second round was not debatable to me. Brizz flat out won that round. I'll prolly post some bars later.. I just don't see what Roc did in that round that was better.
Third was both of their weakest. I'll have to listen again to decide on it. As it stands, Brizz's "two hands on the nine that's real nikka time" bar is making me lean that way.
Ya'll were talking about both of them having dryspots, and I gotta take issue.
Brizz has dryspots. Bars that aren't really haymakers/don't land, non-clever punches, etc. Parts of the round where you are listening and not reacting much.
Roc has these insane reaches that make me want to stop fukking listening sometimes. The pharmacy bar? The planet bar? The Michelle/missed shells bars (and against Brizz, who shook a small room with that bar?!)
I said it after the DNA battle, the Surf battle, and now after this one. I just don't understand the Tay Roc love.
Funny you say that, because I have always thought Roc looks like a try-hard on stage. His delivery and haymakers feel ultra forced.

I fukk with roc but i felt he reached a lot in this battle. scotch tape, the saturn shyt , this was a DNA type performance which is cool I guess he wasnt excited for Brizz but this is his B game which Im not even too mad at cause Roc never takes battles off this is nhis worst but Im not going crazy off this shyt, brizz had moments but he lost to a super light roc to me so what does that say about him?
you can make a case for brizz imo and I clearly gave him the 2nd, I fukk with roc though, even though I had him losing to Surf I thought he did well but this battle and the DNA one his writing was mad lazy. reaching like crazy, the pharmacy bar i forgot about that yeah that shyt is terrible, wtf does the farm have to do with it, people got mad when DNA said roc is borrowing from Surf but that shyt is almost like the church bar in it being almost a non sequitur
He's the biggest try hard on URL. He tries to add the schemes and wordplay without having the intelligence to pull it off.

Gonna have to change my vote now. I was giving Tay Rock the slight edge by a margin. Brizz gets the last 2 rounds now. I was hyped about that line but tay stole it from Brizz

He got no choice but to.....ik most people dont really pay attention to battlers outside the battle, but he was fukked up behind that L. From interviews to media not givin him that same love, a lot of comments writin him off, lux know what he gotta do. He got to put fear back in all these nyggas hearts again. Not just with Clips but fans as well. Remind everybody he still the god of this shyt, so at the drop of a dime yo favorite battle rapper can get shoved in a grave.
