Noooo, the teacher got fired for provoking a fight and not following protocol. That kid should be choke slammed, but you don't get to "defend" yourself against a fight you can easily walk away from.

administrators could argue the boy looked like he was walking away and the teacher should’ve just gone behind the desk…

And that is EXACTLY what they are going to say. Hell, I was written up for breaking up a fight where one girl was practically getting her face stomped in. Apparently, I was supposed to just stand there and call for security. I should have known something was wrong when the six foot six inch gym coach just stood there and didn't even bother to do THAT.
