...there are activities parents can have their kids in to help foster the child's social skills. i went to public schools as a little dude, but still played in sports leagues during the school year and summer breaks. there were performing arts programs and science programs i took part in that had nothing to do with my public schooling. i met and got along with other kids from all over the world in these programs....but that was just me. it very well could be different for others, but if i'm a parent--this doesn't bother me as much as having to worry everyday if my kid is going to be killed by a classmate or now, their teacher.
