It’s more luck than anything

If the salary cap doesn’t jump by 25 mil in one season they can’t sign Durant

If the nbapa spread out the increase as they were advised to then this doesn’t happen

Sure Luck is a part of it, but how many bad run teams are there? Why can’t Sacramento, bucks, Brooklyn, Phoenix etc.. have as much success now? Got to give it to the GSW owners to doubling down on their investment.

If the ping pong balls jumbled the wrong way kd is in Portland for mos tot his career
Luck is always part of it but making the best moves always is supreme

Of course

But a 25 mil cap jump has literally never happened before

Durant isn't even a conversation without that happening

I mean, this also goes with ownership, cause who knows if kd would’ve stayed there with the medical staff they’ve had on board lol

It’s not that crazy. Shyt, I think Cleveland would have beaten them the year before that too if they were healthy. That team (without Durant) lacked imo a true athletic go to scorer. Barnes was supposed to be that, but fell fukking short.
Cleveland had helped from the league. The Draymond suspension killed the Warriors' momentum and Bogut hurt his knee and Iggy back was in pain. It was a perfect timing for the Cavs to win the title. A healthy Warriors team without Durant manhandled the Cavs in two matchups in the 2015-16 regular season and had them down 3-1 in the final series. The Cavs were overmatched before momentum shift.
