Trailblazers fan here. Just felt like there hardly been shyt to see in our team since Roy left.

I grew up with the team from the very beginning of the Drexler/Porter/Kersey/Williams/Duckworth era, from the moment they came together up through two heartbreaking Finals and then Drexler S's departure. It was a quick transition to Sabonis and Rasheed, which eventually brought the Stoudamire/Smith/Pippen/Wallace/Sabonis team and another near title that ended in a heartbreaking ref-aided collapse. They dissolved into the jailblazer years, which were at least entertaining, and then the incredible two seasons where we drafted Roy, Aldridge, Odom, Batum, Fernandez, and Rodriguez all at once. THAT team had sick potential, they just couldn't fukking stay healthy. And Roy was my favorite player ever. His health collapse on the heels of Odom and Fernandez coming apart was too much.

Since Brandon Roy's comeback game against Dallas in 2011, I just haven't been able to get excited about the Blazers. A team led by Lilliard is like one led by Westbrook or Kyrie - it'll be flashy but I don't see it going anywhere. I'm just biding my time until they get someone who can give them hope as a team again.

I grew up a Trailblazers fan. I don't post much on here, but that's my team. Still got these in my garage.

RIP Jerome "Mercy" Kersey and Kevin Duckworth. I have an old pic of a meet and greet with the Blazers. Didn't want to wait all day in line to get a pic with one of the big names so said "fyck it" and went and got my pic taken with Duckworth and Robert Pack.

In high school I was a complete idiot and put down $10 for a Robert Pack rookie card because we thought he was gonna be good. :smugfavre:

Literally the only rookie card I ever bought separate. :mjlol:

I got you on the no-name Blazer interaction though. When I was in elementary school we had Wayne Cooper come to our school and give a motivational speech and sign autographs. We were all like, "It's a Blazer it's a Blazer!" but he was averaging maybe 3ppg at the time and none of us knew who the fukk he was. :lolbron:

After I left home my sister had a cute friend who worked for Nike. She used to get invited to Jailblazer parties and would take my sister as backup. Zach Randolph and Qyntel Woods definitely both invited her, I'm pretty sure they partied with Stoudamire and met Scottie too.

At the time I would have loved to hangout and be around those guys, but now that I'm older and wiser nothing good could come out of hanging out with those guys or 75% of the Blazers on that team. Dark days.

It's not so bleak now with Dame and CJ, but I kind of just feel like we are going through the motions to get to the playoffs and get knocked out by Warriors or Spurs. Never good enough to win and not bad enough to get a lottery pick.
