Hundreds of thousands of tech workers are in trouble, new report shows

Tech companies have announced 141,159 job cuts this year compared with 120,470 during the same period in 2024, Challenger’s report said. Total year-to-date job cuts in the U.S. are at their highest level since the pandemic struck in 2020, and the firm says that layoffs for the month of October haven’t been this high since 2003 — an alarming statistic considering that the creation of new jobs overall has reached its lowest point in years.

I pray the recruiting wasn't Indian. I've never gotten a job using an Indian recruiter. All their good for is wasting your time.

If them faggits ask you to read a script or do any one way interviews tell them to stick it
Thankfully, they're not Indian. But they ended up canceling because of a family emergency. The whole thing is really strange.

Edit: And then around 3 PM, a user in the San Fran messaged that they dropped their laptop in the street. I ended up having to go into the office and shipping out a laptop for them. My new laptop which I just switched to like last week. And the company FedEx account is messed up or something so I paid $380 to package and ship the laptop overnight. I'm gonna go ahead and submit the receipt for reimbursement before I lose it.

The laptop didn't get delivered yesterday. I just looked at the receipt and it says Monday. What the hell is first overnight shipping then? I told the guy Saturday delivery.

I replied to recruiter saying we could have a call on Monday and got no response.
