So many new people got into the field during the pandemic. Completely oblivious to the previous tech job bust cycles. I tried to school a few recent college graduates but most wouldn't listen. They bought the hype and believed the money faucet would never dry up.

one of the guys I was working with had recently started and we got on the subject of holiday (vacation). He wasn't happy he only got 26 days of vacation to start with (this is outside of sick days and the holidays they get there that are paid). He then asked me what do Americans normally start off with and I said "10"

It's funny. I'm the only one offering solutions, legit FAANG referrals, and giving game on interviewing at that level, discussing companies that are aggressive about hiring, and talking about what the focus should be.
