Looking in my LinkedIn and what got me right now is how many Software Engineers talk like Twitter Tech/Corporate World. Finger pointing “professionals” standing on their soap boxes.

Even people who I used to work with have become professional drones telling everyone what they need to be doing.

Too many influencers now on Linkedin lol. Posting the most basic sheet for likes. It's insane. People did not use to do that until the past two years.

What's scaring me is the job market, I am leaving a job where I know I am in demand for a job that might lay me off in six month if shyt goes south. but being overworked carries health issues

My company earlier this year was bought out by another company.

shyt is nuts man. I’ve been hearing ZERO from IT Recruiters, Contract gigs, etc and I just been trying to get lil quick few months deployment project or something

Think its a combo of AI, The interest rates, and this fool with these random ass tariffs. There was like a week last year when the fed was expected to cut rates and I started hearing from a lot of people.

Then they didn’t and that shyt went back to tumbleweeds status

I said before in this thread, and I am taking heed myself that we need to shift to minimalism and not get caught up in lifestyle creep where we become dependent on these jobs thus the golden handcuffs. It is easier said than done but we gotta use these jobs to establish our foundations and then identify ways to diversify income thus when times get rough we can truly "do more with less"

ideally we use the capital from jobs to fund our exit vs living in the endless cycle of this job will last forever, IDK your age but I don't want to be that 50-60 yr old laid off and aged out the game

I got laid off in April 2024. I was unemployed until July 2025, I am on the 2nd week of my new job. That is paying me 40% less than my last job.

The only benefit is it is work from home so I can still do my podcast editing for Youtube and get a few extra hundreds from that.

If I was you I wouldn't leave Chit. I feel from grace, from six figures to not even mentioned at all

Gameplan now is to humble myself and use this job to get into security or another IT field.

If I’m being honest…. I lost 2 jobs during Trumps reign. Or due to the aftermath or the damage Trump did.

luckily been at my current job for a couple of years now but when Trump became president from the top of the year shyt got weird
