Post capitalism is also known as hunter/gatherer society.
Post capitalism(in my opinion) is facilitated by the end of scarcity.
So much of the discussion being had(in the op) would be moot.

Agreed. And I also agree that we're not near the "end of scarcity".
However we have the following:
- renewable energy,
- fusion research (ex: France's super reactor),
- robotics,
- AI,
- new rare earth find in Japan,
- plans for meteorite mining (which won't be for another 50 years at least)
We're definitely on our way. It's becoming more fact than fiction.
