these phone manufactures make lots of money selling annual updates. that's about to end though as cell phone service providers are ending subsidies.
their problem is phones have reached the peak of what can be offered in present form factors.. screen resolutions past 1080p are pointless. the megapixels on the cameras are fine and don't need to be improved. 1080p video cameras are good for most people. screens larger than 5 inches infringe on phablets and small tablets. many phones have quad core processors. they don't need to be faster.
there's no more room from growth in the present version of smart phones we have. unless they combine a home game console and smart phone that plugs up with a TV and uses Bluetooth controllers or something along those lines what more can our phones do?

I am a current HTC One owner and just can't get over the fact they keep coming out with these 4MP cameras....yeah they're cool in low light but for anything else its a joke

I'm real disappointed in the flagship Android phones this year. I've never once looked at my phone and wished it had a heart rate monitor on it and HTC is literally selling the same phone they sold last year, like they completely phoned shyt in this year. Worse part though is they've all gotten bigger. Like I don't have a problem with big screens necessarily, it's just the overall phones have gotten bigger in size. Looking at the S4 and G2, I was hoping we'd be getting bezeless phones in 2014.
I might have to go iPhone when my contract is up in a few months, I got a GN2 right now and looking for something a lot smaller.

Just get whatever fits ur needs at this point..all of the phones are good..and no matter how good the phone is..u get tired of using it after a while and make excuses to get rid of it for another phone that u will eventually get tired of...I say if ur satisfied with what u have..keep it..
