The average politician doesn't think in internet-age terms. They operate in the mindpsace where television was above everything. It's why TX Governor Abbott thought he could buy himself time by trying to blame several local GOP failures on wind power or the Green New Deal or whatever other distractions. In the tv era it would take days to fact check and get back at him. The internet age keeps getting them put on front street...and they just cannot adjust.
