I'm all for black excellence at QB, but Minny was the definition of mediocre while he was in there. I'm not sure how much better than Case Keenum/Bradford he actually is

I'm one of the dudes who gave him the name teddy checkdown and even I think he should get a second chance. It's not that he can't throw it deep he just refused to take any chances with the football his first 2 seasons. He was a young dude with a garbage oline, a good defense and a crazy aging RB who wanted 30 touches a game. He ain't wanna fukk up and be labeled an interception prone young qb early on and that's understandable. The teddy I saw at Louisville was making deep throws. I think he will take more chances given his situation now.

This right here. His job was to not fukk up and lose ball games. He played his role perfectly those first 2 seasons. Diggs and Thielen weren't as good as now either

People forget he would've had a game winning playoff drive vs Seattle had Walsh made that kick

Norv Turner didn't help him running that Air Coryell offense like he was still coaching Philip Rivers, having him drop back 7 steps all the damn time

Teddy's rookie and sophomore seasons were satisfactory. He was young, and he didnt LOSE us games. He won us games. Teddy's intangibles aren't his arm strength. Its his brain. He is calm as fukk at all times. No deer in headlights, and he killed the 2 min drill. I'll take that along with his ability to roll out over Bradford who literally sacked himself 3 times last Monday night. Bradford's talent lures you in, but im not confident he will play another game with the Vikes due to his knee.
