Again

End of the road didnt have impact like THAT

In the United States, "End of the Road" spent a then record breaking 13 weeks at number one on the US Billboard Hot 100, a record broken later in the year by Whitney Houston's 14-week number one hit "I Will Always Love You"; Boyz II Men would later match Houston's record with "I'll Make Love to You", which spent 14 weeks at number one in 1994, and then reclaim the record with "One Sweet Day" (a duet with Mariah Carey), which spent 16 weeks at number one from 1995 to 1996.

Hmm End of the road and I'll make love to you. Guess who produced those songs??

It qualifies when speaking on popularity. Remember the time is more popular though, then and now. That can't be denied. Kids today aren't bumping/listening to End of the Road. Part of the mystique of RTT is the production, Mike had a goat ear for music. Teddy showed out with the production, match made in heaven:blessed:
RTT is the video cameos + costumes + choreography (all my dance classes have taught that routine as well as the routine to thriller) + MJ being the biggest star in the world. My god kids know that song because they’re obsessed with MJ, not because they loved how the song sounded and it just happened to be an MJ track.

I’m not discrediting Riley’s work there, but you’re dwarfing everything that MJ and that video were in favor of propping up Riley. That might be the first $1M video, that shyt was important for so many other reasons.

Bruh. nikkas ain’t beating Remember The Time with no damn End Of The Road. Y’all are not thinking clear. U think one of MJ’s most known music videos and songs. The same MJ who is dead right now. GOAT artist of all time. Ain’t gonna win against some damn Boyz to Men? Come on fam. End Of The Road doesn’t have the LEGS that Remember The Time has had over all these years. Y’all gotta understand this.
It does. By nature of being a ballad, it gets played less, but even at a party, RTT is hardly ever the MJ track to get spins. And if you’ve ever been to karaoke, the place goes wild if someone chooses end of the road. Y’all gotta stop downplaying it simply because it’s a ballad and has a more narrow niche in which it still gets played.

This is true. But at the same time. nikkas got in trouble at school for singing Remember The Time when we was supposed to be quiet in class. And EVERYONE knew the words. This is the 90s. Are u saying Remember The Time ain’t dope? shyt is a WAY easier listen than End Of The Road. Even tho I loved that song. It ain’t some shyt u can always throw on. And yes. Cause it’s a ballad. If nikkas was smart DJ’s. I wouldn’t even retort with End Of The Road against Remember The Time. It don’t even fit.

NO ONE is thinking about Boyz 2 Men like THAT in 2020 :laff:

MJ >> Boyz 2 Men

Mike chose to go to Teddy for some Heat for that release not Babyface that alone speaks volume.

Personal preference. If the video isn't on, I can't listen to Remember the time. I like Jam, Dangerous and in the closet better.

Looking at MJ'S chart history. I'm starting to think going number 1 on billboard is overrated. I didn't know MIke has so many hits that never went number one.
Of course going number 1 in Billboard is overrated. Lol. I been saying this for years. Now the shyt is ESPECIALLY a joke.

Working with the biggest star in the world isn't a trump card?

The song itself isnt chopped liver/is masterfully crafted, the choreography is a result of the music. When discussing Remember The Time, the lyrics, beat, video and etc all come into play, that defines a classic moment aside from music, and Teddy is a part of that.
