somebody put me on, why does he hate BDC? Also, I only got into golf again over the past year but Brooks comes off like an insufferable dikk at times.

I used to golf when I was much younger, but have probably only played 18 holes five or six times in the past 15 years or so. Played twice recently, and just picked up some gear yesterday. I ended up deciding to go big or go home, and got the following.
My friend ended up selling me his irons, some wedges, and a few woods. He ended up buying some new irons with the money get sold me the clubs with. I think the type of driver he sold me was an M4, and I have some hybrid he sold me as well.
I want to start playing a lot more, so I decided to pay for some high quality gear.

Hit punch shots off the tee with long irons. Playing from the fairway (or close to it) will do miracles for your approach shotsPlaying a quick nine today.

That scotty putter looks so dope and feels so right. I want it, but I can't justify spending for it. Just got new irons 6 months ago. New wedges, new bag, and new putter. Just got a SIM to replace my old ass TaylorMade R1. What are you playing besides that putter. What irons did you buy off your boy?

Played nine holes today. I've probably played a total of five rounds of golf in the past fifteen years, and all are within the past two years.
Got my first par in that time period today. Was hitting some really good shots, and then would mess up when I had a good chance.
The most frustrating part is definitely when I end up right near a bunch of trees and struggle to punch it out..

I'm not at the point yet where I'm getting mad about certain shots. Definitely frustrating when you hit a great shot, and then follow it up with two or three awful shots.

So, out of the four or five times I've gone this year, I would say the most frustrating part for me is when I hit it near some trees, and I struggle to punch it out.

I know what I'm doing wrong, but I keep messing it up. I know I'm overthinking it and not hitting it solid enough. I feel like I'm worried that I'll hit it way too hard, and I either end up topping the damn ball or barely hitting it.
But, so far I've been enjoying going out there and playing. I can definitely say I'm getting better just by going multiple times recently. I need to go to the range and definitely work on my irons.
