Yep they had a Gameboy SP game based upon the show in development as well and CANCELLED that shyt

They ended Static RIGHT when it was hitting its peak as well. I couldn't STAND that shyt. Even though I was older at the time (Highschool) I'd watch Static with my younger brother just off the strength that I didn't have that one black superhero show when I was a kid. Static the Gawd deserved better from WB.

Another season of static would've been dope too. It seems that if a show ain't a comedy show, it needs a toyline in order to stay on alittle longer. It's sad, CN use to be the channel for good action cartoons

At least Static had the benefit of being integrated fully into the Timm-verse along with Batman Beyond.

Problem is they refuse to release every season of the show on DVD.

WB could make crazy money by releasing a box set of the entire Timm verse (B:TAS, S:TAS, Static Shock, Justice League, Justice League Unlimited, & Batman Beyond).

Sometimes I wonder if Toonami (pre DBZ) would've survived under the current CN execs. If current CN is axing shows with the quickness, would Toonami have lasted long enough to get DBZ and blow up?

The show got wide critical acclaim, fans loved it.......But they couldn't sell the toys associated with the show. What they overlooked was the fact that the toys they were making for the show fukking sucked.

The did even worse by Static. Static was Kids WB highest rated program (even over Pokemon) but got cancelled because they ran out of money to make the show. They ran out of money because companies REFUSED to make toys based on the show.

How they ever expected to make toys from Static Shock aside from a few characters everybody that got a power was there for a gang fight

Nah, he's onto something there. I hate how they tried to push scrawny ass Robin as some sort of badass. Don't force me to respect someone's gangsta. Didn't feel that faux anime style either. Beast Boy, ugh. Corny. Cyborg, cornball brother. I hate Raven's character. I don't like those emo Mandy/Daria types.
