To keep it a buck, I was heavy into boom bap when Murda Muzik dropped, and I might be the only person to think this, but I really thought The Realest beat was boring as fukk for about a year. I loved the G Rap feature and P's verse but it took a long time for the beat to grow on me.
And I'll still give the kid a pass because apparently it was meant as an interlude or outro beat and was never meant to be a beat for anyone to rap over. It's not a typical rap beat even by 1999 standards.

Always rocked with that beat hard. G Rap murdering that verse helped a lot tho! I remember Alchemist saying originally he was just gonna use that beat as an intro or something slight but Mobb Deep loved it

the story is Mobb didn’t fukk with that beat until G Rap jumped on it. Alchemist always credits Rap for helping his career with that placement, because once he jumped on it then everyone else came around.

I've been introduced to a lot off music because off reactions. From stuff I forgot about, or songs and artist I never knew or know.
