1988 was arguably the first year where Nintendo was become GOATendo. There was so much piff coming out that people missed out. I brought the game in a bargain bin years later and was shocked by how great it was. But since then people are recognizing how pioneering it was.

Nah Tekken 3 was just too good and iconic. The inclusion of Bryan Fury alone makes it better than Tekken 2.

To be fair, some of us do prefer 2D fighting games over 3D fighting games, and I don't say that to downgrade the 3D jawns. Just a matter of preference.

Everybody I knew had a copy of T3. Never seen anything like it. My dad, my uncle, my cousins, friends, etc. Everyone seemed to have the at game. Matter of fact I bought T2 after T3. Loved T3 so much I wanted to see what T2 was like.
