We see him falling towards the lava and then it cuts to Kazuya. Knowing Tekken, he's still alive.

Either Treasure Mode or Tournament mode. Gotta put that time in Pops.

Basically, Treasure Hunt is your "Practice" mode but you get more paid $$$ and treasures and gain promotion.
