As a nikka who grew up on both game series I really don't think one is better than the other, but I do feel like the Tekken series at one point kept getting better and better while it felt like the Street Fighter series peaked a long time ago and that they were just throwing random Street Fighter games at nikkas for a while.

Why would you compare a 2D fighter to a 3D fighter? They're not even on the same dimension. (cept X Tekken but that game is shyt so)

Comparing Tekken to Virtua Fighter or Dead or Alive would have made more sense.

Street Fighter is and might always be the best fighting series ever, Tekken is the only one close but it still isn't a contest. SF's impact turned into TROPES my nikka. Damn near all forms of gaming borrowed from SF series at some point.

nikka u know damn well Tekken never borrowed anything from Street Fighter. To be real a lot of games borrowed from Tekken too (Dead or alive).
Everybody and their mama had Tekken 3. We used to be like 10 bad ass kids playing king of the hill....all day.

You gotta respect Street Fighter for being the godfather of the fighting game movement. SF Turbo, SF Alpha 3 and Capcom Vs Snk 2 are 3 of my favorite games of all time. If SF3 had better characters overall it would be up there too. Back in the day I loved both but preferred SF but nowadays I prefer Tekken. Tekken in general is more rewarding towards offense than SFIV series.

So nikkas just gonna forget how 3rd Strike dropped and had the whole genre on smash(mostly 2d fighters)? shyt was damn near perfect engine-wise.

Yeah Capcom running the money up now with these ridiculous title update releases and shyt but you can't deny how strong 3rd Strike was, and how it was so much piff at the time. When you seen nikkas like Daigo do that legendary parry comeback... you knew 3rd Strike was tuff biz. Had other games looking huff as hell.

Tekken 3 was my favorite i was unbeatable with eddy gordo, huarang, and the fake bruce lee. street fighter was the best arcade fighting game tho.
