Even a team like The Spurs... There are other factors... They couldn't afford the top prospects due to cap space, those top prospect may not feel comfortable being a role player to start their career, or player simply don't want to play for the Spurs. Even then, what are the chances that the Spurs don't collapse? Just because a team is good scouting, but it doesn't it mean the talent is there in draft pool every year. Good argument, tho.Young teams don't win. Correct. Young talent among veterans develop faster. Therefore, if you're already good, you'll always be able to replenish your talent pool. A team, like say, the Spurs, would never have to rebuild, because they'd have their pick of the litter.
It's like saying, would you rather have a snake draft or an auction draft
