That’s the elephant in the room and why if the Dems (and moderate Rethugs) in state had a spine, they’d fight to get this killed in committee
There's several problems with this, those people aren't trained to any standards don't know basic legal rights not required to or have any back up or less than lethal tools. Not required to assist in any way, Have no protective equipment and when they fukk up the state can't be sued for their negilence.

In a city where civilians are starting to shoot car jackers I do wonder how effective this would be in slowing down crime
In situations where the police are literally no help then who will protect the citizens if not themselves
Yesterday a dude who was blocked in by a double parker, shot the guy so you have the risk of all altercations turning violent but I'm at a place where I want the leeway to protect myself and my property with the law giving me the benefit of the doubt

You must be white cause aint no way a black man would utter the words "the law will give me the benefit of the doubt"

Completely agree. Was just debating this in class about the sheriff in FL who wanted to deputize anyone who wasn’t participating in protests 2020
