Yea film wasnt bad but there was some goofy stuff in it and overall it is forgettable
You could but people expect more from terminator. Fair or not. So a terminator movie being decent or merely "fine" won't get it done. Especially when they bring Arnold back and do some really inventive time travel stuff and open some cool angles. It just felt very dry and didn't have much of its own voice. It's something I'd throw on while I'm cleaning the house on a Saturday morning

Why do people expect that?
Before the last movie the franchise had 2 good movies and 2 bad/meh movies, in most people mind, and a meh TV show and the good movies are over 25 years old.
Cause in general we romanticize those first two movies. They're two of the greatest action flicks in history so it's always a tough act to follow

I really loved that movie the one time I saw it in the theater.
I was stanning out on all the fan service stuff tho. Wasn't really bothered by any of the stuff people criticize it for.
The timeline was mad confusing but no one has really managed to nail time travel in an intellectually satisfying way... cause time travel is bullshyt, of course.

Ok so I saw this movie finally and it wasn't horrible. I thought khaleesi looked a lot like a young Sarah Connor. I don't like Jai Courtney in anything tho. The three different attempts Arnold's was dope. Not as bad as I thought it would be. Much better than salvation.

Double the budget that is.what they typically need to break even. Cut the gross in half theater typically will take 50% of revenue over the theatrical run. Thats the typical fast and dirty hollywood accounting
