Anyone mention T Mac leaving Toronto yet?

Obviously he had an amazing career but he and Vince woulda made multiple finals runs in the early 2000s east

and we got screwed because the very next year they brought in restricted FA
so instead of having tmac for 3 years we would have him for like 7 before he woulda left

Still won alot of games. They were legit contenders for a few seasons, obviously not the favorites but the team had some good pieces.

They would have been legit legit contenders if Amare is healthy. The gutted roster didn’t mean nothing , gallo and chandler were consistently hurt and Felton ended up right back on the team

The problem was Amare.

Carl nicks leaving New Orleans to sign with the Bucs will forever bother me. He was arguably the best OG at the time and Saints offered him what he described as a good offer but he signed with the Bucs, had a mysterious staph infection and his career was over after one year there

Grant Hill came back too early when he played for the Pistons.
He was in a no win situation, though. As the face of the franchise, in that city, he was expected to fight through pain and injuries.
Either rushing back or poor training/medical staff in Detroit derailed his career.

Funny thing was , the Bad Boy era Pistons got so much air time in their heyday, that their team trainer was semi-famous.

Ownership should have just shut him down regardless if/how bad he wanted to play

Medical staff was one of the best in the business :ehh:

Same thing happened with another former Pro Bowl Saints Offensive Guard: LeCharles Bentley.

Left the Saints to go play for his hometown team, the Browns, suffered a mysterious staph infection there, and never played an official down of NFL football again :mjcry: @smitty22
