Timbaland has some god awful shyt in his bag :hhh:

Timbaland was hot trash post 01 until he revived his career with Justin/nelly. Then he almost killed it with bp3. His hip hop beats have always been sus that’s why I don’t get the Pharrell/Timbaland debate

I swear Nas resents the critique of him not picking beats that people want, and therefore goes out of his way to just keep doing it out of stubbornness or just trying to make a point.

FWIW don't come at me Nas fans. :hubie: I don't think his beat picking is as bad as it's made out to be.

Nas has said many many many MANY times he don’t give a fukk about what people think of his beat picking (though he’s aware of the criticism) he chooses beats that speak to his writing and will highlight his bars. Its not out of stubbornness so much as it simply his process.

:scust::scust::scust:Alex Da Kid and Rick Rubin should be ashamed of themselves for all those best they did for Eminem

I've been wanting them to link with Taylor Gang for awhile now after their spot on Wiz's last album. Their rapping still sounds fresh today but they've always had production problems after their peak. Getting Juicy J, Cardo, Sledgren, Harry Fraud beats would be so clutch for them.
Alex Da Kid was basically recycling the same damn beat for all those hits from 09-11. I remember Tyler The Creator unintentionally called him out for it too :russ:

Same chord progression, loud ass "anthem" drums, white pop singer on the hook.

Timbaland has some garbage like all producers, but he also created some classics post 2001:

Jade feat Jay Z- Count It Off

Jade feat Nate Dogg- Dead Wrong

Bubba Sparxxx- Deliverance (most of that album)

Jay Z- Dirt Off Your Shoulder

Lloyd Banks- I'm So Fly

The Game- Put You On The Game

Jeezy- 3 A.M.

Snoop Dogg feat Damian Marley- Get A Light

Timbaland feat. Drake- Say Something

In retrospect that threat beat on the black album was weak. I’m one of the few who loves the justify my thug beat. It’s futuristic and unique. Bangs in the whip just as hard as PSA.
