I think a lot of Em beats...would sound better if Em didn't have them.Man even when this clown works with good producers like Al and Just Blaze he picks their worst shyt
Like the stench of what he does over them is so burned into our minds that we don't know what they would sound like with others on them.

I can see why someone might say Pop Shots but I always liked it.
But a lot of his post Owners/2003 beats do have a lazy/something's missing feel. Not sure exactly what they're missing, but something is different about them. They aren't drastically different from the '98 through '02 era, but they feel slightly less finishing or something.
Someone in here said he stopped using hi-hats, so maybe it's that?

and the producers can be blamed on the flipside for even including that in the pack they sent
as much as JMT was weak on black album
the other beats listed that went to AMG or whoever didnt fit the vibe of Black Album at all
you gotta at least try to pick stuff that matches the vibe of your entire album
the just blaze and eminem shyt is the opposite
eminem is looking for a specific sound ... but you gotta not give him that type of shyt if you dont want him to use it
like that havoc beat sounds nothing like him, I just wouldnt have given him that shyt at all. Thats on the producer for sending it through

Yeah that happens. The more you produce the more you realize that artists don't know that much about music, just being honest. And at least in my case, I ain't planning to hop on the beats myself so I'd rather them pick one of my wack beats than no beats at all. So take the guap and keep it moving.

I think this was an issue for the whole album tho. Pre release he was previewing mad tracks that were apparently meant for the album with flying lotus production and it was rumored nikka mightve gotten something from Dre but none of it ended up on the album
