All I know is that he's a terrible governor . He didn't do shyt for the state yet they re elected him . I read Missouri or one of those southern states are trying to do the same thing .

look, you can't trust big oil the same way you can't trust big tobacco. the reason weed isn't 100% legal across the country is cuz the tobacco companies are paying off politicians. this is the same reason why car manufacturers haven't increased fuel efficiency in like 30 years as well. big oil paying off everyone to keep us addicted to that black gold :pacspit:

same shytty ass inefficient engines producing the same shytty horsepower. But the cars are getting more expensive as time goes on using old ass tech.

It really makes no sense. cars are using the same internal combustion engine with no significant upgrades for like the last 35 years, however, since then, we got iphones, playstations, tv's that's thinner than my wallet, and the internet. however, no one can figure out how to get 100mpg cars. :childplease:

For the sake of debate you COULD say that engines have become more efficient in terms of emissions and displacement to power ratio.

:mjlol:cars still strugglin to get 30MPG for the past 30 years. Manufacturers still braggin in their commercials about these horrible MPGs.

"with its powerful V6 and great fuel efficiency....32MPG on the highway...." blah blah

I'm not talking about "fuel efficient V6s".. I'm talking about flat 4 turbo motors with more horsepower and torque than the standard big block V8 of 30 years ago, with better fuel efficiency than that same V8.

Not to mention that the cars of today are faster, handle better , safer, and more comfortable than they've ever been. You have a point with mpg, but I didn't argue that. He said there haven't been significant upgrades, but there have been...they're just not upgrades he cares about.

It takes high gas prices to make a car like the Model S feasible for automakers to invest in. Its not that they can't make a car with better gas mileage, they can they just never had to.

Why would they make an expensive car and sell it for cheap ? because they care about consumers? Comparing electronics to auto is just a poor comparison.

i can read and that doesn't displace the fact that the combustion engines are inefficient, period. ITS ANTIQUE TECHNOLOGY. Most of the gas money you put into the tank gets WASTED through heat. Forced induction aka turbo has been around for well over a century :mjlol:Now automakers wanna add turbo to every car in their lineup to make the name sound cooler. Not to mention even more of the energy (the %15 thats left) gets lost thru the other moving parts and electronics in the car. We're talking about engines here not suspension, airbags, or leather seats. The engine is still inefficient. Electric Cars should be the norm today but they're not because all the research and progress got stifled by the oil industry.

it takes what to make automakers invest in electric cars? :mjlol:
They had no problem making a big push in the 1980's for more efficient and cleaner electric cars. Then less than a decade later big oil comes and pays off the politicians and car industry to stop with the electric car. That was back when gas was less than $1/gal

I've seen a gang of them in the DMV area....they got a car club that meets over by S Capitol St. See more city residents rolling in them more than where I live. Soon as it's warm out consistently tho, I expect to see plenty...dope car, wish I was in the market for one because I'd definitely purchase
