I can’t even think of what that company has in the works to become the richest company in the world
The only thing I can think of maybe is if the market grows so large where 8.5 trillion doesn’t seem crazy
I mean it’s essentially his company that he managed to get gov funding for which made him one of the richest on the planet but at the same time what is one person doing to even be close to getting a 100 billion a year
For that price he needs to figure out the geopolitical situation, stop these wars, moving technology forward( ai, batteries, chip making, nuclear fusion, space, etc.), making new discoveries, changing the world for the better and some more shyt

The stock trades off him being rich and the thought that surely he has to have something up his sleeve that will deliver big time returns in the future. The bulk of Tesla value is in his name, not the fundamentals of the company.
In actuality, when evaluating the business, it's second rate at best in just about every avenue. BYD is better at the car selling game. Alphabet/Waymo is better at robotaxis. Amazon is the clear leader in robotics. Outside a quick flip or miracle lottery ticket play, I never got the hype with this.

They aren't even a factor in markets where they have to compete with Chinese evs. Is Tesla supercharger the gold standard in a market (US) that didn't even try when it came to EV infrastructure??
