There's a certain crowd that sticks a very high correlation between "intelligence" and quality of music.
There's anther crowd that equates obscurity and greatness, like the people who love the overrated movie Inception. "I had to watch it twice to understand it!!", now how the fukk can it be a good movie if you need to watch it twice :childplease:

With that being said IMO it's a good album, solid 4 mics.
I've read too much to be impressed by social, psychological, environmental or whatever type of "knowledge" from musicians. If it's worded in a dope way, flows well, is creative etc is what I look for in music.

This Nikka @The Ruler 09 is literally the worst poster on thecoli

It actually amuses me the clowns that see him as a decent poster

The dude literally think hims repeating lines Lupe said which contains a repetitive nature to make a line memorable like good writers of music do in songs they write, he thinks it gos against the case of this album's great depth

This idiot is a clown

He also agrees in the OP that Lupe is too complex then later on says that Lupe is too simple

Nikka pls :childplease:

U aint fooling nobody

U aint one to discuss music

When I make a thread giving u a plethora of topics to discuss that revolve around music u back out like a clown but when its something to merely portray your faux music intelligence, even when an obvious troll thread.. u'll post 30+ posts within in one hour trying to win an argument

But then the next minute you'll tell me "IM too busy to discuss actual music with you"

:mjlol:
shyt's wild breh... I am familiar with terrible posters in The Arcadium, but I've never seen anything like this. Dude is OG Courtdog annoying status.

and let it roll. do not stop listening. This is for all you lupe haters, or even those say "i use to like him but..."

he is answering all of your questions you have about him. Now know. What will you do about it after you have the knowledge? Will you still hate or say "i no longer like lupe?" We'll see

"It's like when you walk out a movie theater, then you come bacc & he shoots the little girl. Maaan fuk this movie! But she had the demon baby in her" "chopper wasn't that long on purpose" "i told y'all 30K" :wow: too many quo tables

Edit: sway "did cudi apologize, did banks
Apologize?" Lu "fuk him n fuk her" "cudi talk to me before I fuk you up" :damn:

I said this album's like being in a Concert Hall trying unravel a Rubik's Cube:lupe:

...first time I heard it, everything was quite jarring, until TheColi broke it down for me:wow:

Maybe you should go listen to 2chainz or something.

Complexity is what made Lupe, Lupe fiasco in the first place.

Where were u when failure dropped

One minute he's too poppy, next hes too preachy, and now he's way too complex and cryptic. Lmao Lupe can never satisfy yall.

nikkas didn't even care about the album (hence the sales). Till stans started beatin us over the head with this is a 10/10 album, GOAT rap, and if you don't like it your just too dumb to understand it shyt.

But don't you do a variation of this whenever Big Sean drops a project??

I tried listening to the album, just don't like, it doesn't sound fresh, people forget this shyt is still music, it needs to sound fresh, and it's not just meant to be listened to it's meant to be felt

the lyrics just sound like some rappity rap shyt to me, which is cool as long as it sounds good, I don't understand shyt ghostface ever rapped about but didn't care it sounded fresh
this shyt makes me want to go to sleep

:russ::russ: yo n1ggas can't have everything. We've been dumbed down for 7yrs. We just accustomed to simplistic bars lol. Now dudes it's over lyrical and over doing it lol. It's about 3 tracks that go over my head but it doesn't stop me from enjoying the album. I'm glad Lupe is too complicated for dudes. We need more intricate lyricism in the game :lolbron: Lupe the talented :troll:

This makes no sense....this "lyrical miracle, decipher my bars" shyt was never wide spread, even in the golden age. 80's or 90's.

If you took this album, and dropped it into let's say 1995....he would be an underground Lyricist Lounge type rapper. People were fukking with BONE, Outkast, Nas, Jay, Wu, Redman, Pac, BIG, etc....other regional shyt like UGK depending on where you're from....regardless, there was never anything like this remotely popular. It was always marginal....extremely marginal. So the idea that people got "accustomed to simplistic bars" and that's why they don't like this is :what: as hell.

:yeshrug:

Lupe confirmed in an interview the week the album dropped that some songs have 4 to 5 themes/varying meanings going on all at once.

And the "Lost" writers said they had answers.

I mean....what do you dudes expect him to say? "Nah, my fans are stupid and finding meaning and connections in random shyt?"

For the record I'm not saying he's lying, but given how well received this album was among his hard core fan base, he couldn't ever tell the truth even if he was.

the evils of truth, and love
:dahell:

People were calling Anticon and all that other weird, abstract soulless shyt during the 90's "puzzle rap". It wasn't a compliment.

Fred.

Not sure I've heard it before but I'll take your word for it. :ehh: since we traveling back to the 90s though, it is a compliment depending how you use it. You know like fat spelled phat is a good thing. :troll:
