The problem we have with rolling blackouts when it’s really hot is the governor will not allow natural gas to be used for back up plants that would go online during emergency situation. Con Ed has the capacity but the governor told them they can’t run natural gas fired plants even in emergency situations. Con Edison wants to build two plants in New York City but the mayor opposes it says it will pollute you can’t have a both ways. Either you want electricity so we don’t have riding in the streets what are you do.
