From what I understand, Mr. Mike is a dusthead/crazy person. That whole Wicked Wayz album banged all the way through...the f*ck happened to Mr. Mike?
EDIT: And these rap n*ggas in this era should take this track to heart.
Draper was originally from memphis but sauve house the label was based in Houston...I'm sure @shopthatwrecks prolly has some insight...i think he fell out with ball and g and might even had some kind of discrepancy with j. prince over something or the other...lost distribution, ran into some financial situation and had to close shop for a minute...i remember ross saying that when he was signed to Sauve House in the early 2000s, draper had some kind of legal or financial problem and let him go because he knew he couldn't properly put him out at that time
his jcor deal was garbage...he got fukked big time..Yea he reopened Suave under the name Draper Inc. and Ross was signed to it...Draper was calling it the new Suave House, but it closed down too...It all started when Tela left and went to Rap-A-Lot...soon, Ball & G started talking down on Draper (check the whole In My Lifetime Album they talk about it on a few songs), after that, everyone left and Suave House folded...Draper Inc. lasted long enough to re-release alot of the older albums but that was it
Good info breh; its crazy when you look at how southwest wholesale situation was the key to all those labels...his jcor deal was garbage...he got fukked big time..
around the compilation they had with candy n starships n rockets n dropped...its when shyt started goin down hill...n ball n g..was gettin mad..they was sellin albums..but the invoice wasnt addin up..
then southwest took a nose dive...u had like 800 labels in houston alone that was down with south west..soon as they folded..u had 5 that lasted.. rapalot ...straight profit...wreckshop short stop n suckafree..(all of em got label deals with majors right when the bankruptcy happen)...
now u jus have 1...rap-a-lot...

yep rapgame at one point in time in texas alone was the dope game...southwest had it 4 cheap..and supplied the entire state of texas...
kappa beach party 98-02...u could find every single label in texas who dealt with them on the seawall..handin out cds..
soon as it folded...u cant find not one of them labels or the artist now...
yeah..Is that why Kappa beach party is looked at as played out now? What happened to some of those label heads that folded? Did they get down with the Straight profits or the SuckaFree, etc.?
yeah..
1 yr had jus a couple labels in the mix at the beach party...next yr every nikka in texas became a rapper n was on the seawall with flyers cds n bullshyt handing em out..
relays was the same way...
nikkas tryin 2 push their music out weighed the hoes..nikkas was tryin 2 fukk with...
some of the labels networked with others...
if u wasnt makin money with say a straight profit or suckafree when they was strugglin when they got on..they wasnt passin out no hand outs..thats why alot of nikkas was mad at flip..
straight profit when yung dropped throwed yungplaya...was smart enough to put a gang of them nikkas on one song n call it a day..
flip didnt too much fukk with nobody...
alot of the labels heads that folded...got regular jobs...
