You've made up this weird standard that no one would meet and that wouldn't even be helpful if they did meet it, and then are using that arbitrary standard to encourage people not to vote for the opponent of a goblin like Ted Cruz.

Then, if Black turnout stays low and Cruz wins, you'll say something like, "See, I told you so."

This.

Also anyone who encourages black people to stay at home and not vote is the enemy. Period. The system is fukked up but they are part of the reason why.

It's no surprise that this was the same message Russians were using as propoganda to help Trump win.
It's also no surprise that the black vote is constantly attacked through gerrymandering, closing voting locations, manipulating voter rolls, refusing registrations, etc.

@#1 pick you apparently live in Georgia. Where Bryan Kemp is running against a black woman and is attempting to attack/prevent black votes. You dodged my question (twice) when I asked you who I should vote for in TX. So I'll ask you something else.
Are you voting?
Who are you voting for?

Are you registered to vote in Texas?
Are you voting?
Who do you plan to vote for?

I honestly don't care who you vote for as long as you are showing up, but based on your comments I'm curious.

So as a black man living in Texas what should I do on Nov 6?
Staying at home isn't an option for me.

I get tired of the bullshyt too and don't view Beto as some black rights hero, but I'm curious what you consider to be the best voting decision.

Vote but you have to realize that you live in a state where most of the people are conservative. You're outnumbered. It is what it is breh. :yeshrug:

You must not be natively from Texas?

Texas actually is damn near 50-50 split between Democrats and Republicans. The issue is just turnout. Texas has one of the worst voter turnout rates in the entire country, and it's mostly Black, Latino, and young voters who are failing to turnout. If they did, Democrats would compete in statewide elections. But because all the old white people are voting and hardly any of the young Black and Brown people are, the conservatives stay winning elections. All the doomsday stuff telling people that their vote won't matter contributes to that.

Here are Texas voter positions on some major issues (this is just voters, not even counting non-citizens or felons or others who can't vote):

Border wall? 43% for, 53% against

Dreamers can stay? 79% for, 15% against

Gun laws? 55% say they should be stricter, 41% against

Marijuana? 61% for legalization, 34% against

Abortion? 57% say it should be legal in all or most cases, 38% say it should be illegal in all or most cases

Trump's tax cuts? 43% approve, 45% disapprove

Obamacare? 45% approve, 49% want to repeal

And so on. Texans even support a ban on assault rifles and allowing illegal immigrants in general to stay in the country. It's just that most Texans who can vote, don't.

Breh, I stop trusting polls in November 2016. :mjlol:

Let me play devil's advocate.

I keep hearing how Black people are doing so well in Texas.

You have Black people all over the country leaving Blue States to move to Texas for the new so-called "Black prosperity".

The Black median income in Texas is ranked the highest in the country.

You have Essence and Black Enterprise telling Black people to move to Texas.

This has all happened under Republican state leadership.

So, why would Black people want this to change?
