But this elected official just did the natural disaster equivalent of that?

Answer me this question: the government and electric company comes out and says that it is completely their fault and that they were not prepared to handle this situation, but at this current moment, they do not have the capability to restore power, however, they are working on it.

What you finna do?
I have no choice to look elsewhere. Then joining the inevitable class action lawsuit

But this aint happening. This cac said kick rocks, take thks L, Mashallah. Not wait, be patient or our resources are limited.

Probably got insenced when the black people started calling him and ordering around.

It’s not supposed to snow like this in Texas. How do you prepare for something that has such a small chance of happening?

Themis is the kind of extreme weather events climate change is going to keep producing.

That's true. But y'all don't have backup generators in case something happen?

I think the whole point I'm saying is, disasters can happen, you have to have a survival plan in place. You can't depend on someone else for your survival or you gone be assed out.

The message was not off base, the timing was.
The message was also off base. Telling people to have a backup plan is all well and good. But to say its not your responsibility as a city government to have one of your own in the same breath is retarded as fukk. and to further double down and say you don't owe the city tax payers shyt when you literally do and borderline criminal. :dead:

For those not paying attention still, including @boy, this has nothing to do with personal responsibility and bootstraps, and everything to do with Texas and their shytty government elected officials. Only state not connected to the national power grid, allows companies to run deregulated. No winterizing on their equipment, which is a regulation they get to skip out on, caused massive utility failures. Cities in Texas that are connected to the national grid are having NO issues.

Wow. Everybody packing up and moving Texas better rethink that move:francis:
OR you buy a house and have a generator and make sure your pipes are proper. From what im seeing a lot of Texas homes are terribly made with pipes that can freeze, no fireplaces, etc....
