Part of being a reputable institution is having academic integrity. Part of having academic integrity is not altering a certain aspect of learned history in order to suit your own depraved mind.

I don't know about you but I went to a PWI in the north and there was extensive coverage of the Civil rights era, Jim Crow and the economic and social ramifications of slavery.

It was 20th century history class, I am a stem degree so I didn't dabble too much. Point is, a remotely reputable institution will cover and not bullshyt

Cause people name the region but not the institution and aren't implying things
