Sometimes you just have to call a thing a thing. You can't sugar coat things just because people will be "offended." Omitting the word slavery is just like saying that it didn't happen. Pretty soon they'll be taking all of the pivotal points of history out because it's offensive.

They are trying to use offensive as a scapegoat if that is a reason they gave. They want to erase it and parents are no longer teaching their children so it will just disappear. There is so much they leave out or gloss over about the atrocities Europeans committed in these text books trying to rewrite history. I applaud this mom putting it out there.
