Senate Bill 3 passed which prohibits the retail sale of any cannabis products except CBD and CBG. No Delta-8, no gummies, no vapes. Only except is approved medical marijuana patients

This is a 2-part plan.

First - governor Hot Wheels and em want to help the liquor lobby since they pay better. Alcohol can't compete with Delta 9 among Millenials and Gen Z, probably Gen X too. After college, folks don't drink like crazy anymore outside of craft brewery shyt.

Second - they want to shut weed down because there are too many independent shops. Hell here in Dallas, I can order Delta 9 anything straight off DoorDash and have that shyt at my house in 30 minutes. Delta 8 is trash but some good D9 edibles hit the spot.

Once they shut all the shops down.....then they're going to create A LOT of barriers to entry, red tape, regulations etc. That pushes out the small guys, so only big money will be able to get into the game. Big money investors have the $$$$$ to pay politicians. That's what they want. Limit who can profit and then force them to give up a cut under the table if they want to keep running their biz. If Big Weed doesn't like it, Texas will roll back regulations so the little guys can flood the market. That's the threat. If Big Weed pays up, Texas GOP will keep the cost of entry high....artificially limiting competition.

Hemp lobby down here is finna fight this shyt hard. Doesn't go into effect until September. Gonna be a bunch of legal challenges. Difficult to justify alcohol and cigs but then not allow weed after previously allowing it.
