Calling what he's saying racism is a reach. I've never shot a gun in my life, am not big on guns, but I completely understand those who are wary of eroding constitutional rights. It's all about the slippery slope with govt. actions, the Bill of Rights either needs to be incontrovertible in it's ENTIRETY or everything is open to change. What's next after the 2nd Amendment, due process?
The purpose behind the 2nd Amendment, atleast to those constitutional interpretations that dontly only apply it to "militias", was to keep the people armed so the federal govt. wouldnt get too out of control.
Like I said, no denying that this country has a gun problem, but I don't see how this automatically makes anyone a racist.

at this sheriff or any anyone that thinks like him as it pertains to paranoia. There's not going to be any movement on gun control during this administration. All it is posturing from both sides. This sheriff's comments are the equivalent of dap fishing on the Coli. Its a routine at this point.
