@Spade @BrothaZay @Frank Lucas

I tagged y'all cuz it looks like y'all are either from Dallas or know a little about it.

I'll be in the Dallas area in the next couple weeks for about 3-4 months. Probably gonna end up getting a spot in Flower Mound. Any of y'all know much about Flower Mound and about how long the commute will be from FM to Downtown Dallas? Google maps says it's about a 45 min drive, but I keep hearing traffic is pretty bad around Dallas, so I imagine it'll be longer than that.

Also, what are some of the go-to restaurants in Dallas?

If that is your business hour work commute than change that 45min to 1hr-1hr15 minutes, I lived in valley ranch, and lewisville which is close to flower mound. Flower mound is a bunch of snobby whites and They don't like black people

flower mound is one of the nicest suburbs in dallas. that commute is going to be a bih. 635 - I35, two of the most congested highways in dallas. especially I35. you might want to drive to ft worth and take the train from there to dwtn.

get to know the addison area - it's known for its restaurants, bars, lounges for young professionals. also deep ellum. if you're working downtown, then you'll probably eat lunch in the deep ellum area a lot. pecan lodge is located there - it's the most popular restaurant in downtown dallas and probably in the city. free man cajun cafe, cane rosso for pizza are other good spots in deep ellum. offsite kitchen/twisted root burger/maple & motor are some of the best burgers in town. if you want to go into comatose eating soul food - sweet georgia brown's on the southside of town. great steakhouse/environment - nick and sam's. that's located in uptown which is another part of town with lots of restaurants.

:snoop: I'm really not trying to stay there, but that's the only place in the area my girl can transfer to for her job and I'd rather make the commute into Dallas instead of having her commute to FM from Dallas. I appreciate the heads up though. :salute:

All of this, I used to be at pecan lodge at least twice a month, that brisket and sausage :whew:

deep Ellem is hipsterish but it's cool for the most part. But man it's so many good bars in the uptown/downtown area, even the bishop arts districts which is 5 minutes down the highway from down town.

Anything outside of north dallas/Addison area youll probably see the more bammerish blacks

Not from Dallas but even I know that commute is going to be a bbbbbbbbiiiiiiiiiittttttttcccccccccchhhhhhhhhhhhh. I'd suggest moving somewhere closer to Dallas. Flower Mound is damn near the same distance from Dallas than is it Fort Worth. I know you are trying to be noble and convenience your girl but consider the fact her commute will likely be easier as she will be going opposite traffic.

Yeah, I thought about that. I also thought about moving a little closer and splitting the distance so we both only have about a 20-25 min drive, but I really don't see a reason for both of us to commute if we don't have to. I've had a 45 mile and 55 mile (one way) commute before, so I can do it again for 3 months. Not looking forward to it though. :francis:
