Idk, I went to UT. TBH idk how to feel about it. They already live like legends out here man. That 5000 a semster bro. Thats a lot of money for 4 months. Think about it man, it's all 100% excess money. It's basically having a part-time job making 250 a week for going to practice. I'm happy for em but there should be a gpa requirement. Reward the students for good grades, not for being an athlete. They already will be debt free after college whether they hit the pros or not.

Meanwhile, a nikka like me could hardly get any loans, worked full-time and had to live off-campus most of the time. But hey, i'm happy for those who need it.

this is a start, but lets be reality. the men's basketball and football players shouldn't be making the same amount as women's field hockey. I mean certain likeness's are obviously more valuable than others.

With the budget Texas has, this is a low ball. But it's a start. Hopefully that number will increase. But I do think their should be a pay scale. Half of the college players that suit up never see the field. IF you start, it should be 30K, if you are on the bench, 10K should be sufficient

They aren't there to get good grades, much less be students.... they're there to play sports... chances are, if they weren't extraordinarily good at sports, they wouldn't be going there.

Nah bro. How many of em go to the NFL. Maybe 10-15% of em. Most of em are going to school getting their education paid for and that where it ends. I understand tho, im friends with quite a few. And Im telling you, most of these dudes are going to class, easy classes... practice, sleeping, and smashing hoes, and partying.

I'm not hating either. But that's a lot of money considering they have nothing to spend it on. Besides gas and partying.... HEnce why I'm saying it's not a good look. They already wild out... how many nigggas are gonna fail drug tests this year because they have the funds to do whatever. 250 a week ads up man.

A Big reason why alot of NYC players went to St. Johns.
