Kids moved to the suburbs and don't have a link to being "black" anymore. They find white comics more relatable in this PC world we live in today. How many of these lil uzi vert fans have ate a maynoise sandwich or slept with ants & roachs and wore hand me downs?

Black folks wanted to assimilate and prove to mr white man that they could do everything he can do and be equal.....we losing what made us different, culturally we are dying:mjcry:

I wasn't a fan of DL Hughley but he has his moments

:ehh:

I don't know much about him but the few times I've seen Jerrod Carmichael he's been a little funny.
Doesn't feel like there's a powerhouse black comedian right now, though.

Like, you went from the Prior era to the Murphy era to the Martin era to the Rock era to the Chappelle era....and what has there been after Chappelle?

Kevin Hart?

:francis:

Id say Patrice O'neal started to gain some steam after Dave and then he died. Maybe Hannibal might be the guy right now, although I know people still have him off for the Cosby fiasco.

Its either him or Jerrod. Jerrod has a network TV show and an HBO special in his 20's. Thats pretty much unheard of.
