Guy, did you watch the doc?

Those guys were wannabes, not real gangstas, that's why they freaked out the way they did when Ben rolled up on them.

They were considered "good kids" by most people

Yes, I forgot this is the internet, there's always got to be some a$$hole who reminds people that they're more callous than everybody else.

Guy, a dude who wasn't a gangbanger, thug, hoodlum, etc. . . got murdered because he was fighting with his baby mama and accidentally bumped the wrong guy and got into an argument.

That meant that the brother who had a full scholarship to college would never go to college or reach the potential of making millions of dollars and rescuing his family from a violent neighborhood.

If that aint tragic, I don't know what the fukk is.

lol @ you gettin on bul, asking him if he watched the doc, then you turn around and revised the story to your own liking.

dude said he got pushed hard as chit. he didnt say benji just bumped into him. and then benji kept talking chit, even when he showed his gun.

now, whether dude is lying or not, who knows. but it makes sense. and with all the other information given by the other parties, theres a reason why alot of us are inclined to believe the killer's side of the story.

and i already said that im sorry that he died and sorry for his family. that was one of the 1st things i said in this thread. what do you want me to do, keep repeating myself? f**k outta here.

Powerful documentary..one of the best 30 for 30's..some movies/documentaries leave you speechless for a while..this was one of them.

between the len bias story and this one ..i dont know which one is worse..i just know for a fact there's many more stories like those two..dudes who's lives got cut short because of fate or stupid choices/mistakes.

I don't know. I say Benji because his death occurred at a younger age and he was murdered. Len did get drafted #2 to a championship team, but who knows how he would've fared playing alongside Bird, McHale and Parrish? They honestly didn't need him. Plus, the fact that he was fukking with coke, if it didn't kill him when it did, it probably would've affected his career down the line.

No one knows if Benji would've made it to the league. He could've blown out a knee or anything. But if the Tim Hardaway became a perennial all star, Nick Anderson and Kendall Gill had decent and lengthy careers...and Ben Wilson was CLEARLY better than them all, we might've been looking at a HOF player.

Its actually pretty common in the Black community even though I can't relate to it or comprehend... A 17 year old kid that lived in my neighborhood was murdered right in front of my mailbox by some kids from a rival high school.. Two days later his mom was at the high school dry eyed giving the students a speech about violence and peer pressure..

I think Black mothers with sons realize we are on burrowed time and mentally prepare themselves for the worst from the moment we are born... Its fukked up but I believe it to be true...

:what: The fukk??
