And all the Pistons fans said I was crazy to want to trade Monroe......

In a perfect world we would have traded Monroe and whoever the Thunder wanted for Harden.

Now we gonna overpay for O.J. Mayo or J.R. Smith... I see it coming...

However Drummond will be a top 3 center and top 20 Player so soon.

Since starting the Pistons are 4-4, he's averaging 12ppg, 9rpg, 1spg, 1bpg and shooting 64% in only 24mpg. Basically without any development on his game he's already better than DeAndre Jordan and JaVale McGee :russ:
Deandre Jordan annoys the fukk outta me breh. so inconsistent. I do think Javale deserves more minutes on the nugs, but maybe that's George Karl's way of keeping him from going full retard.

They're both brain dead and lack high b-ball IQs, great athletes but not great basketball players. Where as Drummond you can tell understands the game based on how he cuts and moves without the ball, he always seems to make the right slip or cut to the rim at exactly the right time kind of like how Varejao does it.

Drummond's biggest issue is that he thought of himself as a SF or faceup 4 growing up, he has basketball skills but not necessarily big man skills yet. If he can get them he will be a superstar.

Which is strange because, maybe I didn't watch enough Uconn games but drummond seemed to lack that fluid understanding of basketball, he wouldn't box out, his offensive game looked mechanical as fukk and his touch was inaccurate as hell and he seemed to get out of position on defense a lot. Do you think that's just a product of ball-hog guards and bad team chemistry? I was just amazed at how different of a player he looks in the NBA. I think his college team just made him discouraged which affected his game. I see the insane potential now that folks like you saw from the beginning. The pistons are fun to use online and they finally upped young drum's ratings :blessed:

edit: Of course we saw flashes of brilliance and insane athleticism in his time at uconn, so maybe I'm being overly critical based on a small sample size of games seen.

Havent seen a pistons game this season.

Are the 2k13 player ratings updated?

If so, ima pop in 2k13 and watch cpu pistons vs cpu bulls, to see what the drummond hype is about
yeah. I think yung drum is still only a 70 overall tho but better than being a 58 overall like before the update, he should at least be like a 76 or 77 or some shyt :aicmon:

The whole situation at Uconn was a mess, his numbers weren't even that bad when you compared them to other young centers from the past. He didn't box out, but those guards he played with were horrible at finding him. They had a dude that could catch everything near the rim, and had a soft touch around it, yet they were constantly going one on one, where as the Pistons find him and keep him engaged in the game doing so. It's funny, Lamb can't get off the bench, and I doubt Napier or Boatright make it to the league, that should tell enough about the guards he played with.

His potential is off the charts, normally I hate seeing big men play on the perimeter but when I saw his HS games you could see he had transferable skills to the post. It's going to take a lot of work, but if he wants to have a post game, and wants to dominate in the paint he could. The last I've read, the Pistons strength and conditioning coach wants to get him in the weight room, they feel he can pack on a lot of weight and carry it well because of his legs.

How good he ends up is entirely up to him, nobody in the league can match him physically, if he gets any type of post game it's a wrap.

Phil Jackson has agreed to serve in an advisory capacity in the Detroit Pistons' search for a head coach.

“Phil Jackson is a friend and one of the best minds in the business,” owner Tom Gores said. “We are thrilled to have him as an adviser as we make some very important decisions for this franchise. Joe (Dumars) and I discussed this and he and I are in full agreement that this is a great opportunity.”

Jackson's position will not be formal, but rather as an adviser for now. Joe Dumars said in a statement that he welcomes Jackson's input.

“Tom and I discussed using a consultant as part of our decision-making process in our search for a head coach and we feel that Phil Jackson is a great resource to use,” Dumars said. “I look forward to talking with Phil next week.”

Jackson has reportedly been seeking a front office role within an organization instead of a coaching job.
:leon: Let's see what Father Phil has up his sleeve. He probably going to try to hook up Brian Shaw with the Pistons job. The triangle with Drummond & Monroe would be a problem :ohhh:
