I used to work a call center handling calls for diff accounts. One was Inspiration Ministries, a televangelist program. Donations ranging from $100-1K. We were urged to take card payments and not send out pledge letters as those had a way lower conversion rate of donations. Crazy part is, one of the pastors is head of the church that my folks attend locally.... had me on some . Turned me off completely, like it's all about the money w em. We used to get people who called in just to snap on these guys, sayin how they're all scum and devils in disguise and will be going to hell, and that I'd be too if I kept doing their bidding..... I just needed a paycheck

My whole family is big into church and religion. I stopped going just from having to many bad experiences. Example, my aunts church was destroyed by a tornado here back in 2012. Pastor got insurance money and money from donations to rebuild the church, but they've only built the steel foundation/ support beams and have been having excuse after excuse on why they haven't finished building. Going to other churches around the city renting them out for service.. doesn't take 5 years to build a church. Now they're short on cash.
