The World, but from BK
I love that this song ended off the album. A lot of lines on there I like a lot:

"...This is Chicago in the hay day
Similar to Good Times/
I guess that I was Jay Jay"

"Said it was her toes, but I could tell her soul hurt" ....great double entendre

I also think that was his father's best outro dialogue

best song on 'Be' by far and perfectly illustrates the enormous gap between genius (Dilla) and a bolstered, above average hack (kanye).

I was :dead: when one of the little girls in the ending was like " i wanna be the first African American President of the United States":whoa: one thing at time kiddo :pachaha:

It was a nice touch on the track though. That little boy was like "I WANNA BE AN ASTRONAUT!" made me think of my little nephew. Such high hopes for little kids. :ohlawd: You're gonna make it little mans. You're gonna make it. :to:

The fact they knew the best version of food was the chapelle show version and went with that on the album, intro and all...

I remember there were like 4 other versions of that track, all at different speeds. None of them touch chapelle's tho.

"Four pounds and pounds a verb from out of towners
It's hard to stay grounded
We stay high, thats why old folks down us
Lost, nobody found us, the force that surrounds us
Ain't with us, they get us on the ground and hit us
We paint pictures of the chains under their names and scriptures"
:whoo:

"Her step-father that he was 'Ike', so her mother he 'striked'
she got to like like-minded nikkaz, who liked crimes and figures
Doing white lines and liquor, see hard times had kicked her..
In the ass.. it used to be thicker..

Life is fast, some choose to be quicker
I remember in high school she had a passion to sing
Now she see herself in a casket in dreams
These are the children of crack and rap, blacks done lack
Self-esteem, yo we forgot the dream"
:to:

nikkas can't DENY the way Common was completely blackin' out over that HEAT Dilla provided man..

Bar for bar he was just SPAZZING

Flow-wise, the Step-father/like-minded part he was getting busy :whew:

Songs like this make me wish an Artist would just spit a 1000 bars :ohlawd:

Be was a CLASSIC, no debating :win:
