Poetic Justice was the second biggest single from GKMC (#32 on Hot 100, #2 on US Rap), the only relatively unsuccessful single from GKMC was The Recipe anyways

The Dr. Dre co-sign didn't mean shyt on paper. Kendrick's album could have sucked and flopped and Dre wouldn't have done nothing about it.

I wouldn't say Swimming Pools had absolutely nothing to do with Drake, because Kendrick probably never would have hooked up with him for a beat or even considered him (T-Minus did Buried Alive)

the recipe was never going to be the single... it's a typical west coast sound, it couldn't work since msot radios don't play regional songs anymore.

Kendrick still wanted to release a video for that bonus song but fans asked a video for swimming pool instead
