I believe Adam Silver was compelled to make this move out of empathy. He seems like a timid person, he's probably sensitive. This tragic (and it is tragic) medical issue with Austin was something he felt guilty about, like his career was robbed from him by an unseen hand, and thought it was the right thing to do on GP. It has the added benefit of making the NBA look good but i dont think that was the motive.

They almost got me with that. I had to do some push-ups and drink a beer after I saw it.

Baylor has offered Isaiah Austin a coaching job and Adam Silver has offered him a job with the NBA after he earns his degree.

:wow: I was gonna hate on this because it seemed like a false gesture where they were gonna leave him out to dry, but for Silver to offer him a job when he didn't even have to is pretty cool.

yo ill throw anyone a rep for a quick explanation, why this dude cant play ?

he has a disease that exertion could basically overwork his heart and kill him

the scary thing is dude still had two more years of eligibility, if he never decided to come out early, he could have had a hank gathers moment on live tv.

it took blood tests and more blood tests to come up with this, one time when coming out early literally probably saved his life.

he also has a 1 million insurance policy i was reading.

people may hate on the nba but its really the best league in taking care of its family.

Sort of, I just think the fact it's one of the less physically destructive sports means the owners can afford to pretend like they give a shyt about the players. Now if these guys had the lifespan of football and there was as many people per roster :usure:
