Disney thought they could skate by on nostalgic content.

Netflix is dug in deep. Netflix has the breadth and variety of shows that Disney cant pull off

especially the more adult shows.

Now something HBO Max I'd be more interested in

Disney+ was never gonna be able to compete because they wanted to keep the 'adult' content pushed over to Hulu.

HBO Max will be the gamechanger. They're sharking content from every other WB network or streaming service (Gen:Lock, Boondocks, Doom Patrol, Sesame Street, Adventure Time), getting classic sitcoms (Friends, Fresh Prince), and getting exclusive streaming rights to non-WB shows (South Park, Doctor Who).

WB doesn't have the same family friendly branding that Disney does, so they won't be as restricted with what content they put on there.

I'm not really into their scripted shows, but the docs are cool and they come out with a lot of them

Disney Plus seems like more of a novelty thing, unless you have young kids

Their adult content is seriously lacking.

I literally only watch it with my son, Which is cool cause he likes shows like Smart Guy and proud family.

Not gonna lie, I thought Disney’s past content would be enough to dethrone Netflix and I’m still keeping my sub but given the choice between cancelling my Netflix or Disney subs, Disney would be cancelled without even thinking twice.
