AROBTTH was their best album. viva la vida was good BUT it ain't fukking with parachutes and x&y. the thing about them that i didn't get was for almost all the albums after that with the exception of ghost stories (even though for a sky full of stars sounds somewhat of a viva la vida remake) is that they tried to do the same viva la vida formula where they tried to make the same song. i get they wanted to try something new BUT i wish they sounded their best with the rock sound. the electronic, edm, club party sound shyt, pop sound ain't them at all. they tried BUT it's NOT them.
Exactly

they saw Radiohead pull it off and thought that they could do it too

I preferred VLV because it felt like a perfect blend of Electronica, Rock, and their usual ambient sound. That album actually got me into the group and then they just went left field with their later pop albums :scust:. When they first came out, it was like the foregrounds to James Blake. Then they just fukked it up by trying to be a 5 Below "U2".

Hopefully, they go back to their roots:wow:

I agree.
And All of those songs you have listed are some of my faves. I have a special place in my heart for Strawberry swing. Reminds me of being a kid whenever I hear it. Love life in technicolor, viva la vida, clocks, in my place, speed of sound, lost(I love lost), warning sign, trouble, Charlie Brown, sky full
Of teardrops kind of grew on me. Didn’t care for their last album at all. I Like when they make the depressing cac alternative music.

Speed of Sound is a really sentimental song for me :wow:

So much of their old shyt holds a special place in my heart. Lost for instance holds value because I was lost during the time period where I heard it. Funny thing is, I was dating a breh who hated the music I listened to, because he was like that’s white people shyt. One day I remember walking into his apartment and doing a double take, because him and two of his friends were getting high, playing a video game, and he had my iPod on with clocks playing. Picture 4 hood brehs listening to that, lol.

I was like, wait, did you mean to listen to that? And he was like yeah I actually like this shyt. :wow: It’s the type of music that can really get you deep in the feels and thinking about life, and memories. :mjcry:

I love it.:blessed:

:mindblown:Breh EXACTLY!!

What separates Radiohead from Coldplay is that Radiohead can back their skills up on a different musical approach. Meanwhile, Coldplay still trying to remake Mylo Xyloto:scust:

i get it. just saying. that time period was a really dark time. i guess on the low i was looking for a way out of that mindstate and possibly a way to accept myself for who i REALLY was when i tried to get into other music genres. that ignant era really was heavy and it was REAL easy to basically go that thug life route and fukk my life up. coldplay among other things saved my life.

i had enough close calls at that point but i softened up a bit because i know for a fact that luck was on my side. i ALMOST never got the chance to start high school due to some REALLY, REALLY dumb shyt that just by chance, the security guards in my high school didn't see what was going on at the time especially considering the time period. i was good by only a second. that ignant era had a lot of us stupid for real. so yeah, all that coldplay, blink182, gza, wu tang, outkast, astrology, consciousness, pro black shyt really saved my ass.
You were an angry young man alright
That lil blog u had was :picard:
